This clock Runs & Keeps Time. The spin-start functions well and is an interesting feature. The clock also has a gold-and-black spining indicator dot at the lower center of the dial that shows that the clock is running (as does the sweep second hand, of course). We have replaced the cord with a period-correct dark brown Rayon cord and a vintage Bakelite plug. This clock will look sharp at the center atop any mantel, or as a shelf clock too.
