Small vintage art deco industrial diner neon clock Cleveland Neon Products NPI
Neon Clock Sales Company started business in 1945. I’m not sure when they ceased operation. Most of the parts that I bought were wrapped in newspapers from the late 80’s so they made it at least that long. I assume this clock is from that time frame but it could be older than that. The design of the clock didn’t change much so that makes them hard to date. This one does not have an advertisement just numbers on the outer glass face. It is similar in design to Glo-Dial and other more industrial / diner looking clocks from the 40’s and 50’s. The can is made of heavy steel. The back half is painted with silver hammertone paint and is as nice, if not nicer, than the front. All of this style of clock had a chrome front with a painted back or were completely painted front and back. They were never offered with a chrome back. All of these clocks and parts were NOS and never used. They do have a little shelf wear or some very light scuffs but they are very nice! The clock does have a new neon tube, a new cord, and a new switch. Any questions just ask. I’ll reply ASAP. 14.5 inches in diameter with an 11 inch outer glass and is approx. 6.5 inches deep. (from the wall to the front of the clock) Weighs a hefty 12 lbs. The item “Small vintage art deco industrial diner neon clock Cleveland Neon Products NPI” is in sale since Tuesday, March 15, 2016.
