Small Vintage 1950’s Art Deco “Smiths” Light Oak Chiming Mantel Clock. This is a small vintage 1950’s Art Deco “Smiths” light oak chiming mantel clock. This clock is in excellent condition and in full working order. It has a stunning light oak body with an arched top. The oak has a light brown coloured finish, with a darker visible grain. The face is a silver and gold coloured chapter ring, sliver numbers and gold hands. The clock is marked: MADE IN GREAT BRITAIN underneath the number six and SMITHS to the centre. The face is protected by a convex glass door with a brass bezel. The glass is in excellent condition with no scratches, cracks or chips. The clock stands two panel feet. To the back of the clock is the door to the mechanism chamber. The door is intact and in excellent condition. The mechanism looks to have been well maintained over the years. The mechanism is also marked: SMITHS. This chimes (on a coil) on the hour (chiming the numbers of hours) and on the half hour (once). This clock comes complete with its key and pendulum.
