Antique French Art Deco Dancing Flapper Girl Cold Painted Bronzed Figural Clock. Today we are pleased to offer for sale a beautiful antique French Art Deco figural clock! This is an exquisite example of high French Art Deco, dating to the late 1920’s. The clock is finely crafted and detailed. It features a rectangular black polished stone base adorned with a spelter with bronzed finish figure of a lovely dancing flapper girl – the figure is further detailed with cold-painted highlights to her dress and face. The clock itself is housed in a Moon-like round alabaster stone frame set upon a black stone plinth. The wind-up clock, with built-in alarm, features a gilt face with enameled markers and is marked “Made in France”. Overall a lovely piece which will add Art Deco charm to any room. The clock is in good antique condition, with wear and patina commensurate with age. The black stone base has some minor chips to edges; the black stone pedestal that supports clock face has a large chip on its front. The Alabaster stone frame has discoloration and patina. The figure has minor wear and loss to painted finish. Clock runs but has not been tested for time accuracy and may need to be serviced/tuned up. Fresh to the market!
