Stylish and Heavy 1930s Art Deco Sterling Silver Travel Clock
Stylish and Heavy 1930s Art Deco Sterling Silver Travel Clock. This stunning clock was hand made, probably in Switzerland or France, around the 1930s. It features a mechanical (wind-up) clock mounted on a wheel turned steel base covered with an engraved Sterling Silver cover. The white porcelain dial has a very clean design with Arabic numbers and simple yet stylish dark hands. The back has a hinged ring that unfolds to serve as a stand. The piece is in good vintage condition. Missing the minute hand and cover glass. Winding knob turns and spring seems to have tension but it won’t get going. This vintage beauty measures 3″ long x 2 7/8″ wide and weighs an impressive 300 grams. A very unusual and attractive vintage European Art Deco piece!
