Vintage Art Deco Waterbury Modernistic Skyscraper Clock, Not Working, Bakelite
Vintage Art Deco Waterbury “Modernistic” Skyscraper Alarm Clock. Not sure on the exact condition of inner workings. So expect the worst. It sounds like there are some loose pieces inside. You can hear pieces moving around and falling when you tilt or tip upside down. Please note that this might be due to damage at the mounting holes on the inside of case for mounting the inside part. The knob to set the time does not work. Cord is in poor shape and needs to be replaced. Outside of Cases is in good condition for its age. A few tiny flea bite chips. Worst chip is on the bottom front corner, which is still very small. I point to the flea bite chips that I noticed in photos. No major damage to outside case. No cracks or large chips. Has some scuff marks. I’m not entirely sure on exact details of this clock. According to online clock collecting sites, this clock was made by- Waterbury Clock Co. During the 1930s, and was called the’Modernistic’, #114, with a bakelite or Catalin case. Please see photos for details.
