Rare Antique Working 1930’s Hammond “Skyscraper” Gothic Art Deco “Spin Start” Bakelite Shelf Clock, made by the Hammond Clock Company Chicago Illinois USA. The Clock measures approx. 6 1/8″ Tall x 5 3/4″ Wide x 3 1/8 Deep and has a very cool manual spin start mechanism to give the heavy internal mechanism the momentum to start running. The clock runs great with a low hum that can be heard when the room is quiet. The cord is in very good condition. Not sure if it may have been a later replacement. This Clock keeps good time! A rare early day/date keeper. The clock face has some minor smudging and the case some typical scratches, nicks and signs of use and the glass is a little loose.
