English Very Rare & Unusual Antique Table Clock Art Deco Looks/runs Great
This is an EXTREMELY BEAUTIFUL UNUSUAL AND VERY RARE 100% ALL ORIGINAL NEAR MINT example of an English Desk/Table Clock. It is a very classy RARE DECO design mantle clock in need of a warm loving home. Also is a rare table size with all the features of a very large clock. This is the only one weve ever seen like it in over 50 years of collecting. The movement is signed. It has a signed 8 day (or 14 day) time and strike movement which chimes a on a cathedral gong on the half-hour and counts the hours on the hour with a great sound. The movement runs very well and keeps good time. Has a floating escapement so it will run even if it is not level. This one looks and runs about the best I have ever seen for an all original clock. The case is extremely rare and beautiful with the original finish! Has a very pleasant quiet ticking sound as it runs. The case is made of what looks like walnut in an Art Deco style in outstanding condition. It must have been made by a master craftsman by the quality of the construction. Has no bumps or scratches. The signed dial is original and in near perfect original condition! The numbers and lettering are very crisp! (See picture) The metal around the dial is original. Has its original convex glass! The hands are original. One thing I really like is its original back and back door! It has a catch on the back door; works great! Complete with a new key to wind it. The clock measures 7 inches high, 5 inches deep, and 8 inches wide. Made circa 1935 when Art Deco was so popular. These antique clocks amaze me – could you imagine any other consumer product still working after all these years! And the truly amazing thing with proper care they will work easily past the next 100 years! Antique Clocks are a Fine Investment.
