French Morbier or Comtoise Clock Movement Including Two Pendulums and Weights. This clock movement is known as a wag on the wall and is designed to be hung on the wall. Some collectors hang them on a black iron bracket. The movement was cleaned and oiled by a clock repairman a couple of years ago and should provide years of good service before needing attention. The clock is missing the two side doors to the movement and the original pendulum. I have included two pendulums and either one will work well. This clock uses a shorter pendulum than the long decorative pendulums. The effective length of the pendulum is approximately 23 inches. The clock dial does have numerous hairline cracks which are visible in the photo. The pair of weights work well to power the clock but are not a matched pair. This clock strikes the hours and half hours on a coiled wire gong. The brass bell on top of the movement is for the alarm mechanism which is missing a couple of parts.
