General Electric Model 372 “Hanover” Westminster Chime Art Deco Clock c. 1937 One General Electric model 372 “Hanover” electric chime clock, made in Ashland, Massachusetts / Bridgeport, Connectucut circa 1937 -1940. The Hanover is arguably the most Art Deco of the GE clocks of the era. The sales brochures noted its “stark simplicity” and characterized it as “an almost daring departure from the conventional tambour chime clock, ” says Jim Linz’s authoritative collector’s guide, Electrifying Time: Telechron & G. Clocks, 1925 – 1955. This is a stunning Art Deco style clock. There is no power cord. I ran power to the motor and nothing happened. I think the motor is no good. The case is in beautiful condition. This is a beautiful clock well worth repairing. In need of repair. Please see all photos for further description.
