EXQUISITE RARE FRENCH ART DECO 8 DAY MARBLE MANTEL CLOCK – PARTLY RESTORED. This extremely Beautiful Comptoir General M. Schnerb Art Deco Clock Has been part;y restored as much as we can without taking if to a clock repairer. With have refitted the glass on the front. Re gilded the lady on the top with gold guilt paint and she looks absolutely amazing. There Is a stunning mix of colours on the marble Gren panel s on the side next to black mottled marble and following with pick pick and whit marble panels on the face. Truly a sight to behold. The time runs slow but this is an easy fix but fiddly. You have to move the round part of the pendulum up or down to correct the timing. Also the light ting chimes which sound so pleasant to the ear unlike some will need synchronizing. There is a small chip to one of the front corners of the clock which is un recognizable. Also all these clocks have to be perfect;y level to avoid the clock from stopping. WE have had the clock running here for 8 days and all is fine with its mechanisim. We would sooner sell this to a clock repairer though as it make so much more sense to do this. Excellent Vintage Condition Otherwise and a super bargain for the right person.
