The history of the company goes back to 1862 where the earlier part of the company was founded in Schwenningen by Christian Lauffer, the brother of Karl Lauffer. The body of the clock is the original brown wood with a green strip on the front. The high gloss surface is in an excellent condition. The clock has a pendulum and chimes every quarter hour.
