This is a beautiful Rose` Mirrored Art Deco General Electric (GE) Clock “Alencon” mod. # 6H02; it Runs and Keeps Time. GE offered this clock in Blue, a goldish-color and the Rose` color of this clock. The cord is dark brown Rayon, replaced for safety, with a period-look brown un-polarized plug. The clock hands and the central securing reeded disc nut on the clock face are all the correct ivory color, and are properly sharing the floral petal shaping of the clock numerals, key features of several Rainbault designs. For Visual Condition, please review the 13 included high-resolution photos; we note that there are some slight imperfections in the mirroring at bottom and in a circular pattern where the metal clockwork case presses into the glass. There are no chips or gouges in the glass itself, however. IMPORTANT NOTE: This clock is an authentic GE-issue clock with a 6H02 GE metal clock case and correct Rose` color, but we don’t know why the glass body of this particular clock is a different shape than the normally-seen half-circle Rainbault Alercon clocks. We don’t know, but most likely a glass side was damaged and so they cut down the broken side (and also the other side to match), then polished and beveled the edges. Unlikely the clock’s a prototype, etc. Regardless, the clock is stunningly beautiful as is!
