1930’s GE Catalin Alarm Clock Model # 7H80 Julep
The alarm clock is in very nice clean condition. The case which is referred to as “Fiberlon” or Catalin is in very good condition, no cracks. There is a chip missing at the base near the cord. (See photo) I have read that the color was originally “rose” and age and light have changed the Catalin to the current amber or butterscotch color. The clock face is clean, but does have a few minor scratches in glass. When clock is plugged in it does work, but there is a hum when alarm stem is pulled out. Also the stem to set time is not working as it should. Brown cord is in very good pliable condition. The clock measures 4 1/2 inches high, 4 1/2 inches wide and 2 1/2 inches deep. A wonderful example of Art Deco. The clock has been in safe storage for the last 30 years.
