Here is a recent estate find. This is a Rare Antique 19th Century Ansonia Victorian Porcelain Ceramic Mantel Shelf Clock with Beautiful’Open Escapement’ Brass Dial, made by the Ansonia Clock Company New York USA, circa 1882. It has a Beautiful Large Footed White German Fine China Porcelain Ceramic Case with Painted Butterflys and Painted Victorian Scenes! This Has a Beautiful’Open Escapement’ Brass Dial with Embossed Arabic Style Numerals and Brass Bezel. This Clock has an Ansonia Brass Mechanical 8 Day “Time and Strike” Key Wound Movement, which is signed Ansonia Clock Co. New York USA Patented A June 14 81 Patented June 18 1882, with Cathedral Coil Spring Gong Chime. There are 2 Winding Arbors, and It includes a Winding Key and Correct Adjustable Brass Regulator Pendulum. The Clock is Large and Measures approx. 12 1/2″ Tall x 13 3/4″ Wide x 4 1/2 Deep. The Clock Has Been Sitting a Long Time and is Currently Not Working and Will Need Attention to Work Correctly. Don’t pass this one up!
