This Herman Miller #4784 electric mantel clock was featured in the 1932 Herman Miller catalog. This clock makes a humming noise when plugged in, but does not start. This is a mechanical start electric clock. Pushing in and turning the small stem on the back of the clock should start the motor. However the stem does not turn when pushed in. The clock measures approximately 11.5″ long, 3″ wide and 5 tall. The power cord is in good condition for its age. The solid wood body shows its age and has wear (see pictures).
