Antique 1930’s Dark Oak “Garrard” Art Deco Chiming Mantel Clock. Antique 1930’s dark oak “Garrard” art deco chiming mantel clock. This is in good condition and is in full working order. It has a stunning oak body with a domed top. The oak has a dark brown coloured finish with a darker visible grain. The face is circular in shape with with a silver coloured chapter ring, black coloured numerals and silver coloured hands. The face is protected by a convex glass door with a chromed metal bezel. The glass is in excellent condition with no scratched, cracks or chips. To the back is the door to the mechanism chamber. The door is intact and in excellent condition. This chimes (on a coil) on the hour (chiming the numbers of hours) and on the half hour. It has a slow deep ominous. This comes complete with its pendulum and key. There is a caveat to this particular clock:- When setting it up the pendulum leader has to be in the absolute perfect position! There is no leeway at all. Therefore I would recommend this go to someone that has a good knowledge of antique clock. This isn’t for a first timer. Width: 27.5cm (11). Depth: 11.25cm (4 1/2).
