Vintage 1950’s Dodge Inc Mermaid Motion Lamp Sessions Clock. This is a statue of 2 mermaids with a sessions clock and a motion lamp with a underwater seascape spinner. The spinner starts spinning once the light bulb is on for a minute or 2. It spins due to the heat of the bulb. Dodge Inc made the famous hula girl lamp and also starting making the Oscars statue in 1930. The base is 11″ wide x 6 3/4″ deep. And it is about 11 1/4 high. This lamp has been rewired and works perfectly. The clock keeps accurate time. However the hour hand is slightly ahead. I set the clock to 5:00. To see this issue. (I just randomly picked that time) The hour hand doesn’t sit on the 5 when set to 5:00. The back spinner cover is slightly bent, but doesn’t affect the performance. The clear front spinner cover is missing. It looks perfectly fine without it. This means you will have to remove the back cover to put it on.
