This is a Rare Antique Working 19th Century German “French Victorian Style” Heavy Black Marble Slate Mantel Shelf Clock, made by the Hamburg – Amerikanische, Uhrenfabrik, circa 1891. It has a Beautiful Heavy Victorian Black Marble Slate Case with Bronze Plaque with Images of Greek or Roman Mythology, in Good Condition. This has a Brass Deco Dial with Ebony Dial Ring and Brass Numerals. It has a Rare Round German Brass Mechanical 8 Day “Time and Strike” Key Wound Movement with Cathedral Coil Spring Gong Chime, which Strikes Once on the Half Hour, and the Correct Amount Of Times On The Hour! It is signed with the “Pfeilkreuz” (Crossed Arrows) mark, registered in 1891. This is a Key Wound Clock and includes the Winding Key and Brass Adjustable Pendulum. The Clock measures approx. 13 1/2″ Tall x 9 3/4″ Wide x 6 Deep. This Clock Runs and Keeps Good Time! This will make a nice addition to your home. The Case is Heavy and Made of Black Marble Slate.
