Cast Iron black mantel, with original parts including “escapement dial” Brass 8 day strike that sounds amazing. Finished in Bronze with an amazing patina. Untouched and in its aged patina form. The columns are beautiful. All parts and case are tight and secure. Original base and hardware. Ansonia inscription on dial, and movement. Very stout and heavy piece. It rivals the Pompeii in weight. Found in Florida home during a renovation in Ft. Myers, Florida 1/4 mile from Thomas Edison and Henry Ford Estate in the Downtown water district a few years back. Crystal Glass and Porcelain dial are original as well. The pendulum and Key are present and secured in case.
