Antique Art Deco 1920’s/1930’s Smiths Sectric Sunburst Gilt Wall Clock -New Mech. This is an Antique Art Deco 1920’s/1930’s Smiths Sectric Sunburst Gilt Wall Clock -New Mech. This is in excellent condition and is in full working order. This clock is absolutely stunning and is very eye-catching. The framing of the clock has a beautiful, Art Deco sunburst design finished in a gilt colour. There are a couple of scuffs on the very ends of some of the sun spokes. These are not noticeable when the clock is on the wall. The face is cream with black Roman numerals and ornate hands. The centre of the face is marked: SMITHS SECTRIC. Underneath the numeral VI it is marked: MADE IN GREAT BRITAIN. The face has a brass framed, convex glass casing, which is intact and is in excellent condition. At the back of the clock is a gilt panel which can be removed to access the mechanism. The mechanism has been replaced in this clock to a Quartz battery operated one. It takes 1 x AA battery. There is a wall hanging bracket and two wall spacers to the back. This clock would make a great addition to the home. Height: 31cm (12 1/4). Width: 31cm (12 1/4). Depth: 9cm (3 1/2).
