American Art Deco Moon Crest Model M130 Bronze Digital Clock by Smith Metal Arts. This American Art Deco/Machine Age Bronze moon crest digital clock is the work of the Smith Metal Arts Company of Buffalo, NY. This company introduced a range of stylish Streamlined desk accessories including these digital clocks all designed in collaboration with the celebrated designer, Peter Muller-Munk. The sleek modern lines of the bronze case house the ivory bakelite wheels of a Penwood Numechron Tymeter digital electric movement. The numerals rotate in a steel frame behind a clear Lucite window and are printed in black and red and set in the early Penwood typeface. The model name “Moon Crest” and model number are marked on the original sticker on the base of the of the case and the Numechron Tymeter word-mark is stamped into the steel metal plate below the large minute wheel. The Streamline bronze case shows light age wear, including scratching and light patina discoloration. A small dent indentation on the overlapping top casing rear left hand lip (picture 2). The movement was powered on and is running, although we have not tested it for accuracy.
