Vintage 1927 Solid Silver HAC Hamburg American Pedestal Mantel Bedside Desk Clock A stunning solid silver pedestal mechanical clock with movement made by Hamburg American Clock Co and the solid silver body made by’Ws’, Birmingham silversmith in 1927. The clock is in excellent working condition with minimal age related wear that does not detract from its overall presentation or use, the clock is keeping time and the silver body looks fantastic, it has some minor tarnishing and small dents in places. It has a diamond shaped filled base and stands on four silver ball feet. The clock face has some light wear, mainly a small scratch between the 3 and 5 hour markers, the brass rear cover is held in place by one nut and bolt and is missing the two others. The ball feet are not perfectly even when laid on a flat surface. All that said it really is a lovely clock in excellent condition. It has a makers mark of WS, Birmingham anchor, lion passant and 1927 date letter’c’ The brass rear cover is marked’H.
