From the 1930s, this smart looking French Art Deco/Moderne clock with two garnitures makes the perfect period addition to your mantel. The marble on the sides is “stepped” in black, reddish brown, and yellow. Overall, a very nice looking, working clock with winding key. Very nice “tick, tick, tick”, but not loud. There are minor chips and scratches consistent with being a 90-year old clock, but the marble colors are bright and the overall condition is excellent. Specs: This is a large and heavy piece. The main clock is 29.5 pounds and the two garnitures are about 7.5 pounds each (and would make good bookends). The clock is 17.5 inches wide (at base), slightly less than 5 inches deep, and 9.5 inches tall. Garnitures are 7 inches tall and wide (at base). Note: Over the past couple of days, I’ve noticed that the clock is running a tad slow losing about 10 minutes over a 24+ hour period. It is easy to adjust the hands when winding but, if that is bothersome, a clock shop should be able to adjust the mechanism.
