This item for sale is a 1936 Art Deco Telechron Luxor Electric Clock. The 1936 Telechron 4F65 “Luxor” features an imitation cloisonné face surrounded by an off-center mirrored ring. The original circular disc was tinted with a coat of lacquer which still remain bright and shows some spots, see pictures. There were three versions of the Luxor clock. This version has a chrome base and gold hands. The second hand offers a continuous sweeping motion like a Rolex watch. Clock is in good working condition and keeps good time. There are no dents or dings and is in overall pretty good condition for an eighty year old clock. The cord is the original and there is no exposed copper anywhere. A Frenchman by the name of Jacques Bars was issued patent D97753 on Oct. 17, 1935 for the design of this clock.
