SUPERB ORIGINAL VINTAGE 1930s FRENCH ART DECO BOUDOIR ALARM CLOCK BY JAZ. This glorious little time traveller has not only found its way over the English Channel, but has also danced its way through almost 90 years with its fabulous looks intact. The clock is made by JAZ, a French clock making company, who absolutely nailed the fashion and style of the time in their iconic pieces. This clock perfectly displays their skill, style and design credentials. At only 3 inches high, this clock couldn’t be more Deco. The metal body is finished in a rich speckeled green paint finish (I’m guessing as a homage to shagreen). This is flanked by two copper plates to the sides, over laid by black bakelite. Set into this beautiful backdrop is the crisp silvered dial with its stylised Roman numerals…. And the famous “JAZ” company name. It weighs over 1/2 kg! If looks, style and coolness are not enough, the clock is also a fully functioning alarm clock. The subsidiary dial under the 12 o’clock position allows the alarm to be set, while the dainty copper button to the top swiches it off. All the winders and setters are original and working, as is the clock itself, keeping good time. Uber cool, ultra Art Deco and superbly original.
