Art Deco Hammond Empress Blue Mirror Clock
This beauty features a blue mirror dial face trimmed in chrome. The lines are simple yet elegant and it looks great sitting on a mantle. The clock works fine. Ive had it running for 4 days now, and its kept accurate time. Someone has said the time adjust knob is a little stiff- but it works fine. The Hammond Clock Company of Chicago manufactured this clock in the early 1930s. Approximate Dimensions: 5 1/4 W x 4 1/2 H. Further description: to my completely untrained eye, the base looks to be in very fine condition. No visible nicks or cracks that I can spot. There are three plastic pads? On the bottom that looks like there might have been felt or rubber at one time, but if there was any felt or rubber, its worn down. Since I dont know anything about this clock, I dont know how long it will keep running until you have to spin that dial again. Or if it needs to be cleaned or whatever. It does say on the back: current disruptions will stop clock — restart & reset. Thanks for your interest. I do my best to describe items accurately. Pictures of the actual item.
