Art Deco Doxa 8 Day folding travel bedside clock, 15 jewel Doxa movement, working. When closed the top is a dark green colour with a gold Greek key boarder. This opens to expose the 3 fold clock with pocket. Watch movement, sitting in place with it’s crown at the bottom. The centre pannel with the face is also dark green with a gilt boarder. The Brass surround of the dial is Tonneau/barrel shaped and it has an original onion crown sitting below. The dial is a beautiful gilt finish with a Tonneau shaped boarder and within this frosted lines that enhance the beauty of the dial. The dial is flanked with large drop shadow Arabic numerals with Radium Lume. It is signed Doxa Watch Co. Swiss Made at 6 O’clock, with 8 days at 12 O’clock. The hands are in beautiful condition with original radium lume. They are thermally Blued, in near perfect condition in a very unique style, resembling a modified Cathedral style. A very complex and attractive design. The case back is solid brass with a coin edge to it, in excellent condition. No tears to lining or large rips to outer finish. Overall this travel clock is in excellent condition and will make an ideal addition to a collection. A beautiful Art Deco piece if design that has perfect patina.
