This is a new handmade clock, designed and built in the USA. Its Streamline Moderne style is modeled after the beautiful and iconic Lawson Zephyr digital clock first introduced in the late 1930s. This clock is made with a metal case of solid German silver and patinated copper trim. Inside, the timepiece uses a 7-digit amber LED display that is synchronized to GPS time to within 200 microseconds. Operating the clock is simple. It has two buttons on the back that allow you to select your time zone, display brightness and a few other settings. Once these are set, all itll ever need is a GPS signal to set itself to the correct time. The settings you make wont disappear if the power is removed – once power is restored, the clock will commence operation with the settings you made. The clock needs no batteries. Dimensions: Approximately 3 high and 7 wide. Time Zone: User selectable. Daylight Time: Automatic or manual. Display Mode: 12 or 24 hour time. Digits: 6 Digits 0.56 High + smaller 7. Digit for tenths of a second. 0.1 sec Display: Selectable on or off. Brightness: 4 selectable levels. Time Accuracy: 200 microseconds. Power: 5 Volts at 0.3A uses common USB Micro B connector. GPS Antenna: Included, 10 cable with SMA connector. This clock sets itself automatically, but needs GPS signals to operate. It can not be manually set. It sets itself only when it receives GPS signals. It will not operate at all without GPS. Consequently, its GPS antenna must be positioned in a location that allows it to receive GPS signals, ideally outdoors, but it works well inside many buildings too, especially if near a window, and not in a basement, or deep inside a large building. The GPS antenna has a 10 cable, easily extended if needed by purchasing an SMA RF extension cable.
