This rare clock is classic art deco with chunky, surface mounted, dark red hands and dial markings on the front of the round case. The case holds the mechanical movement and is accessed by a door at the rear forming part of the round case. The escapement movement, probably French, runs for 24 hours. Height:6.75″ (17cm) Width:6″ (15cm) Depth:4.25 (11cm). Vintage clocks from the 1930’s and 1940’s, with their original movements, are rare and were made to the highest quality of engineering. They have all been serviced. They need to be handled with care particularly made with glass, bakelite and other delicate materials. Some electric clocks will require manual starting.
