Elegant & Stylish Art Deco Marble Mantle Clock. A delightfully stylish and original timepiece mantle clock in a wonderful multi coloured marble Art Deco case. This Art Deco mantle clock measures 42cm long x 25cm tall x 9cm deep. The beautiful Art Deco case is so very typical of the style of that period. The front of the case has black and sand coloured veined marble, while the top and sides have a light grey veined marble. The condition of the marble is mostly excellent with only a few extremely minor edge/corner nibbles worthy of note. The tin dial is sensational with magnificent Art Deco numbers and markers (minor scratches). Equally stylish are the chrome dial hands again so typical of the period. Bezel/door is in very nice condition with a good hinge. The glass is missing. I suspect the movement is french. The spring is good and fully wound. The movement is running for a while then stops which points to historical dirt and dust clogging the mechanism, so will need a good clean and service/adjustment. It does look in need of a clean.
