Youre purchasing a local estate find Vintage General Electric 1930s art deco Glass mantle/table clock model number 5F50 in excellent original condition. This clock was designed by John P Rainbault for General electric in the mid 1930s. The model name was the Mirage and it came in 2 colors. Cream, seen here and black and white. The clock runs quiet and keeps excellent time. It features cream colored glass mounted on a gold clock works housing. The clock features gold colored and mirrored stylized numbers with a central decorative floral motif. The hour and minute hands have a chrome finish. The clock also has its original electric cord and bakelite plug which is in vintage condition and working fine. The clock is in excellent cosmetic condition showing very minimal wear and no damage whatsoever to the front glass. Their are no chips, scratches, blemishes or damage to the glass. The only very slight blemishes are to the rear. There is a very small paint fleck to the rear gold colored alligator-textured paper. It is visible if you look very closely at the front of the clock but it absolutely does not distract. I have taken a close up photo for your review. The other inconsequential blems are to the rear. A square area (pictured) where someone had a price tag Which does not come thru to the front and some age related wear to the clocks rear case itself. None of this is visible when displayed as its on the back of the clock. The clock rests on a curved and two footed base. The cord is 5 feet long and the dimensions are 7.5″ wide by 5.75″ high.
