Original Art Deco Era Advertising Clock measures 25 1/4 at its widest point and 17 1/2 inches at its tallest and 4 1/2 inches deep. This piece was actually found in a Montana Barn. A great item for your Winter restoration project. The clock and advertising plastic lenses are crack free. This piece needs a total restoration. The Synchron clock second hand moves, but it does NOT display correct time. The minute and hour hands do move with the adjusting stem. Consider either a new clock mechanism or major cleaning. The electrical lighting area is missing the bulb. Transformer and wiring need major replacement OR maybe update to new LED technology! This area feeds light to both the clock portion above and the advertising. I merely dusted the dirt and cobwebs off. I believe the’Leak-Proof’ lettering at the lower portion were once red in color and have faded. The metal shell should be cleaned or sandblasted but this might take some of that age patina away. This is why I left this as you see it. You restoration folks can make those critical decisions. There is a slight depression where my pen is pointing to in two photos. The silver aluminum bands need some small hardware to keep retained. The power cord is present which I did use to power the clock up. But I would recommend replacing. This item was tossed into the dumpster during this estate cleanout. Restoration using the original shell and age related patina (which is hard to replicate) but upgrading the electronics, clock and lighting to new technology. You restoration people know this destiny. I’m guessing the ink stamp behind the clock front of 8 56 is most likely a date code of August 1956. This item came in at 16 pounds in a 27 x 23 x 7 inch box from zip code 59847.
