AWESOME FRENCH ART DECO PEACH MIRROR BOUDOIR BEDROOM LAMP AND CLOCK SET, EX COND. This is a marvelous find. This is a French Deco peach mirror ensemble, a tray with a lamp and alarm clock. The clock is working and keeps good time. The clock has the name Bayard on the face, and’Made in France’ at the bottom. The lamp which has its original French cloth cord and in-line switch is ready to plug in to our US sockets. The light fixture takes a small bulb, which is included. The original shade is present and shows signs of age, with tiny age spots throughout, and I found one small repaired tear, but it is in amazing condition for its age, and the fabric is strong to the touch. The peach mirror is the BEST and most wondrous aspect of this set it is all in bright and clear condition, which the photos show. I find no chips to the glass anywhere, and just the most minor of tiny imperfections, which I only mention for total accuracy, when you see the photos of this ensemble, you will be delighted at its fresh condition. The clock separates from the base, so you can hold it in your hands to wind it and set the alarm, and is held in place by a fitted holder that looks to be copper. The closeup of the clock that shows issues with the mirroring is an exaggeration — as you can see from the other photos, the imperfections are not serious. This is such a stunning Deco boudoir item, and reflects the taste and refinement of that stylish era. I will pack it well for its journey to you.
